Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport, located about 12 kilometres northwest of the city centre, serves as a major transportation hub for the Tri-City metropolitan area and northern Poland.

In 2023, Gdansk Airport welcomed 5,907,280 passengers, a whopping 29.1 per cent more than the year before, but what is more important is that this is 9.9 per cent more than in 2019.
